Welcome to Darlington Yoga

 

This website has been setup to advertise British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) classes, courses and workshops that are taking place in and around the Darlington area.

 

Yoga is distinctly different from most forms of exercise, in that it generates motion without causing strain or imbalances in the body. When practised correctly, it has no negative effects and in fact counteracts many of the problems suffered in modern life. It has been shown to offer both physical and mental benefits, and is a great way for people of any age to get and stay in shape. Yoga has both preventive and therapeutic benefits, so is particularly good for arthritis, ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), MS (Multiple Sclerosis), stress, asthma and other breathing problems.

 

The Darlington area has always been very active in all aspects of yoga. Classes are available most days and evenings and are suitable for all levels of fitness (unless otherwise stated). Follow the menu links for details of classes.

 

The website helps to promote yoga in the Darlington area. There is information about Saturday sessions that are held most months. The programme is designed to widen the student’s understanding of yoga by introducing teachers from different yoga backgrounds.
